Prime Medical College (PMC) is one of the privatemedical colleges in Bangladesh.It was commissioned in the year 2008 inside Rangpur City.It is situated halfa kmaway fromRangpur Central Bus TerminalbesideRangpur–Badarganj road.  A seven storied academic building,   750-beded Hospitalwith all the modern facilities andseparate hostels for boys and girls are the main features of the campus.It offers a five-year course of study leading to Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The degree is recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.The college is affiliated with Rajshahi University under the Faculty of Medicine. In addition, Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) hasalso recognized postgraduate training for a period of one year in the subjects of Medicine, Surgery, Gynae& Obs. and Paediatrics.A medical institute and a nursing college share the same campus. Prime Institute of Science and Medical Technology offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in health technology (laboratory) under Faculty of Medicine of Rajshahi University, and a four-year diploma in medical technology under the State Medical Faculty (SMF), Dhaka. Prime Nursing College offers a four-year Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a two-year Post-basic BSc in Nursing under Faculty of Medicine of Rajshahi University.

The chairman of the college is Prof Dr ShahinaAkhter, Executive director is Prof Dr.Akkas Ali SarkerandthePrincipal is Prof Dr.Md. Noor Islam.There is adequate number of teachers and others staffs in this college. The college is now able to teach around 150 students per year.

Admission for the citizen of Bangladeshis conducted centrally by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). It administers a written multiple choice question exam at the same time throughout the country.MBBS students are primarily admitted based on their score on this test.Grades at Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) level also considered during admission. 5% of seats are reserved for students from underprivileged backgrounds, 5% is reserved for the college’s governing body and 30% seats are reserved for foreign students.
